This beautiful Paleo Pie crust can be used for most any pies, and has a mere 4 ingredients! It’s gluten free, completely sugar free, and all natural. Let me tell you, you wouldn’t know any of that while eating it. I made it in minutes and wondered how the heck it was going to turn into an actual pie crust, but it somehow did, and an amazing one too! 🙂
- 2 cups almond flour
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 2 tbsp coconut oil (room temp)
- 1 large egg
Whisk the flour and salt together, then add in the egg and coconut oil. Mix until a ball forms. It should only take a minute.
Spread your dough ball evenly on a 9″ glass pie plate. If you are making a pie that requires baking, then fill the crust as is, unbaked. If you are making a pie that does not need baking, then bake the crust first at 350, for 8-12 min, before filling.
This crust worked perfectly with my Perfectly Paleo Pumpkin Pie recipe and on my word you could barely tell it was not a wheat flour crust. I am so excited to have found it!
Whether you use this for a desert pie, or use it for a savory filling, like meat pies, I am certain that you won’t find a better, healthier and easier Paleo pie crust recipe! Thank you Elana Amsterdam for this keeper! ENJOY, and don’t forget to comment!
